Our Process
People ask us all the time, “How does it all work? What exactly do you do?” Well, here are some answers to help you understand who we are, what we do and how we can benefit you and immensely change your vacation planning experience.
STEP 1 — WE CONSULT
Consulting starts with questions. From you but also from us. We get to know what you want from your vacation and you will know what we will do to make it the best it can be. Things like, do you like a boutique hotel or a high rise? Do you like to explore a city while traveling or spend more time relaxing?
We make suggestions like not leaving for your honeymoon the day after your wedding or what airport you should fly into for your cruise through the Greek isles and what you can do there before you sail. We ask questions that you might not even know the answers to but together, we figure it out.
We like to try and think for our clients whenever possible. You don’t know what you don’t know, right?
This initial consultation can be done in person, by phone, video conference, or even email. We work with you in the way that best suits you and your lifestyle. After getting to know you, we begin crafting your dream travel experience.
STEP 3— DESIGN & REVIEW
Once your vacation is designed, we will send you a proposal to review. We ask for your thoughts and adjust as needed.
After you give your feedback and we tweak to fit your vision, you will receive a detailed itinerary outlining your travel plans and financial specifics.
You then receive reminders via email regarding upcoming payments that are due.
Typically most trips we plan require a deposit and the balance due two months prior to travel but some do require payments in between. The design process can take a few days or a few weeks depending on how soon you are traveling and where you are going, but things are always wrapped up within 30 days.
STEP 2 — THE RESEARCH
Researching is the part that pays for itself tenfold! When a client tells us where they want to visit and when, we research everything. Best flights based on departure city, travel dates (if we see your date is higher than it should be, we advise if you shift you can save a lot of money), and airlines.
While we might find a very good airfare on a flight that gets you to your destination late in the day, we research a better option that might not be much more expensive and well worth a few dollars extra if it gets you where you are going much earlier with minimal connections.
We know the resorts that have hot tubs in the rooms, which hotels are within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower and what time of year there is more seaweed in a certain place, and how to avoid that.
Step 4— MANAGE
We manage your entire trip. We make the bookings (flights if needed, hotels, transportation, trains, tours, etc), process the payments, keep an eye on flight schedule changes (whew there are a lot!), monitor hotel closures/construction/issues (we can’t always know everything but we try!) and stay totally up to date on all travel protocols.
We send your travel documents and informational emails specific to your destination that will help prepare you to travel. This includes things to know, dress codes, cultural information, and a detailed checklist so you are fully ready to travel. We obsess over every last detail on your behalf.
And last but certainly not least, when it’s finally time for you to travel, we are available to you for any emergency or unexpected travel needs. As you know, life happens and travel can be unpredictable at times, but we are always here for you until you return safely at home. If you are ready to start, we are ready to help!
What does it cost?
The cost of our service is highly dependent on where you are traveling, when you are going, how many people are joining you, how far in advance you are planning, and so many other factors.
Most clients invest an average of $100-150 for tropical cruise planning, $200-$250 for resort vacations to the Caribbean, Mexico, or Hawaii, and our customized European design starts at $350. (Per household)
We also have special pricing for group travel, honeymoons, and destination weddings. Once you submit a travel inquiry, we will email you the Research & Design fee for what you want to plan and all of the information needed to take the next step!
